The Benefits of Estate Planning
One of the primary benefits of estate planning is the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your last wishes will be carried out according to your specifications. And knowing that your loved ones will be relieved of the responsibility of making crucial decisions at a time when they are least able to make those kinds of determinations.

Wills and Living Wills
The drafting of a simple will is a relatively easy process, and for that reason, it is neither costly, nor time consuming to have one prepared. And yet, the dignity and peace of mind it conveys are priceless.

If for any reason you become unable to make medical or financial decisions for yourself, a living will (or Directive to Physicians) can provide guidance to caregivers to make certain your wishes are carried out. In addition to communicating with loved ones what your wishes would be under these circumstances, a Directive to Physicians and Family or Surrogates memorializes your wishes. This document can help prevent confusion and be of great comfort to those who may be called upon to help make such a difficult decision. Below are helpful descriptions of common estate planning documents.

Will - A Will is a written, legal document that provides details and instructions for the disposition of a decedent's (dead person's) property. This can be used to explain how property is to be allocated and who would be responsible for carrying out your wishes.

Trust - A Trust is a type of legal entity which is used to hold legal title to property (usually the decedent's) for the benefit of one or more persons. This is commonly used in conjunction with a will, so that real or personal property is properly distributed after your passing.

Living Will - Also called a Directive to Physicians, this document will direct your medical care in the event you become incapacitated or are unable to communicate your wishes to your health care providers.

Durable Power of Attorney - This document designates specific people to handle certain tasks on your behalf if you are unable to do so. This can be applied to health care, to designate specific people to administer care or to serve as implied consent; or to property, so that designated people can handle your affairs on your behalf

Not only was Mr Galyen a pleasure to work with, he took the time to make sure that I had everything I needed. When he snapped his fingers, it seemed like my problems were summarily dismissed, including my financial issues which they handled quickly with the legal card which I was surprised that it even existed at all... But I guess I was one of the first ones to try this service and it was excellent to help me with my short term issues that resulted from my family issues.{para}Anyway thanks B&G!

Mr. Wright failed to provide competent representation. He completely neglected the case & ignored numerous attempts to contact him for trial preparation. He showed a conscious disregard for & a complete lack of attentiveness to his responsibilities. At every stage, he procrastinated, which led to numerous continuances. Mr. Wright even made false representations to the court in an effort to disguise his complete failures. Mr. Wright is a fraud and should not be allowed to practice law.

I paid Mr. Cramer to sue a body shop that screwed me around for about $5k. The he told me it would take $3k to sue the body shop and investigate to make sure we sued the right people. He ended up suing the wrong people. Then when he finally sued the right people he expected me to pay again. Stay away from this lawyer.

This guy is the WORST lawyer in fort worth. I had him for a theft case and all he did was try to get me to sign for 9 months. He lied to me and my family EVERY time any of us talked to him. I finally fired him and got a real lawyer and got my case dismissed. So, if your dream is to rot in jail then look no further, McCarty is your guy that can make that happen.
