Government Contracting and Compliance

Guiding Clients Through the Government Contracting Industry
The United States Federal Government is one of the world’s largest purchasers of goods and services, making it the ideal customer for businesses of all sizes. Additionally, overseas markets and foreign governments are more accessible to U.S. companies than ever before. Companies wishing to benefit from these opportunities face heavily regulated marketplaces with a myriad of issues involving national security concerns, licensing, association, qualification, import/export compliance, bidding, employment, information protection, and dispute resolution. Whether you are a large or small business, the attorneys in Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote’s Government Contracting and Compliance Group can help you navigate the government contracting marketplace. Our team focuses on the business needs and goals of the client while providing options and recommendations based on our experience in this industry.

Offering a Broad Range of Advisory and Litigation Services
The members of our practice work to develop innovative and practical-minded solutions that meet our clients’ business and financial objectives. We are prepared to deliver a full range of government contracting advisory and litigation services, including:

  • Assisting clients in the formation of, qualification for and compliance with Small Business Administration programs, as well as providing guidance to larger companies with regulations related to sub-contracting, set-asides and affiliation with small businesses
  • Advising clients in the creation of contractual relationships, including the formation of teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts, strategic alliances and preparation of all necessarily-related contractual agreements to facilitate cooperation amongst parties while still providing the needed protection of assets
  • Assisting clients with the licensing and compliance requirements of export regulations including the U.S. Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Representing clients in litigation matters, including contract termination, bid protests, False Claims Act and Qui Tam actions, anti-trust litigation and intellectual property litigation
At Dickie McCamey, we know that our government contract clients come to us with their own unique goals and problems. We look for individualized solutions that allow our clients to take advantage of critical business opportunities in this complex industry. With a practical focus on legal matters, we offer superior value and high quality services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
