Faruki regularly represents media outlets by providing pre-publication and pre-broadcast review of stories, scripts, headlines, promos, teasers, and online content. In addition, we offer timely newsgathering advice and assistance with online takedown requests. Faruki also defends claims of defamation and privacy in state and federal court. In advertising and marketing law, Faruki offers a full range of business-oriented legal services. We have extensive experience prosecuting and defending Lanham Act cases involving false advertising claims, consumer fraud, trademark infringement, and other competition-based disputes before state and federal courts. Clients also have benefited from our representation in advertising disputes before the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau. Many clients have gained a strategic advantage by seeking our counsel on advertising claims and evaluating content to avoid the risk of litigation.

Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. has long been committed to a diverse workplace, respecting of gender, race and ethnic backgrounds.  This commitment begins with recruiting.  FIC has one of the most competitive recruiting progams of any firm in the Midwest and regularly considers candidates from over 25 different law schools through on-campus recruiting and resume collection efforts.  Placing a priority on identifying top-flight law students who are high-energy, well-rounded and positive future leaders, the firm enjoys a tremendous mix of diverse life styles and racial and ethnic origins.

The firm helped initiate and has been a regular participant in a minority recuriting program with the Univeristy of Dayton Schoool of Law, which places minority students into summer clerkships with Dayton law firms each summer.  We have had a number of minority students clerk with us through this program, and have hired associates from the program.

In addition to an aggressive effort to employ a diverse workforce, we emphasize the importance of diveristy throughout the year.  Our office is closed on Martin Luther King Day.  We are a sponsor of the Dayton Business Journal's Diversity & Inclusion Breakfast Seminar.  We have also sponsored each year since its inception the YWCA's Women of Influence Luncheon, which is the largest event that clelebrates the influence of women in our community.
