The Bankruptcy & Workout Strategies practice group at Rhoads & Sinon has a strong reputation and history of success in representing a variety of clients in business loan workouts, out of court restructurings, Chapter 11 reorganizations and other formal bankruptcy proceedings. We serve a wide client base, including regular representation of debtors, creditors' committees, secured lenders and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankrupcty cases, as well as representation of clients in non-judicial turnarounds, loan workouts, restructurings and liquidations. We recognize the myriad of issues presented whenever a client is faced with the prospect of involvement with a bankruptcy proceeding or workout situation, many of which extend far beyond the strict legal issues presented. For this reason, we employ an aggressive, yet well-reasoned, approach to the matters with which our clients are faced. We negotiate whenever possible, but litigate when necessary, at all times maintaining a keen awareness of the cost-benefit analysis facing our clients.
Our clients include public and private companies, non-profit corporations, lenders, trustees, stockholders, and entities seeking to acquire assets or businesses. The attorneys in our Bankruptcy & Workout Strategies practice group have diverse and extensive practices that provide the collective skill and experience to successfully represent clients on all facets of bankruptcy, including reorganizations, liquidations, workouts and other alternatives to formal bankruptcy, acquisition of assets from bankruptcy estates and financially impaired entities and creditors' rights litigation. In addition, in light of our extensive banking practice, we have substantial experience in the representation of secured lenders in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings and loan workouts, including the defense of complex lender liability suits and related adversary proceedings.
Because of the breadth of Rhoads & Sinon's practice, our Bankruptcy & Workout Strategies practice group is able to draw on the experience of other members of the firm in such areas as banking and corporate law, environmental litigation and regulation, labor and employment, securities and taxation. As a result, we are uniquely able to assist any client, whether a large publicly traded company or an individual, in addressing the issues presented by insolvency or financial distress.
Rhoads & Sinon is committed to enhancing the diversity of our workplace through the recruitment, hiring, retention, training, professional development and advancement of a diverse group of attorneys and employees on the basis of demonstrated merit and performance.
We also strive to maintain and promote an inclusive culture in which individual differences are respected, appreciated, recognized and valued as qualities that strengthen our working environment and contribute to our ability to serve our clients.
