Sophisticated understanding. Our Derivatives and Structured Products practice expanded in response to clients’ demands for sophisticated and market-sensitive advice. Our attorneys advise the client on strategic planning, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission disclosure, corporate governance, public subsidiary leasing, global bond and discount offerings, investment by Farm Credit System Banks in the preferred stock of Farmer Mac, bank holding company and TARP and software agreements.
Sutherland advises Oglethorpe Power Corporation in an acquisition worth more than half-a-billion dollars.
Sutherland represented the client in its acquisition of Murray I and Murray II LLC, a power company that owns two combined cycle facilities in Georgia. The deal was worth $529 million.
Sutherland guides large publicly traded private equity fund through numerous transactions.
Our attorneys represented Allied Capital Corporation, a $5 billion NYSE-listed business development company, in billions of dollars’ worth of transactions over fifteen years, including its stock-for-stock merger with Ares Capital Corporation.
