  • The Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") has enacted new regulations implementing the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003, popularly known as the FACT Act. The FACT Act amends the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") to protect consumers against identity theft when their personal information is transmitted by third parties, such as investigating agencies.
