  • On March 13, 2009, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proposed changes to its regulations to exclude the value of U.S.- origin parts from the dutiable value of repairs, alterations or processing performed abroad on articles exported from the U.S. and returned under subheadings 9802.00.40, 9802.00.50 or 9802.00.60 of the United States Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
