  • On February 23, 2007, a federal district court enjoined enforcement of Illinois' Act to End Atrocities and Terrorism in the Sudan ("Illinois Sudan Act"), finding it unconstitutional. The court acted in a lawsuit filed by Winston & Strawn, on behalf of the National Foreign Trade Council ("NFTC"), eight public pension funds and eight individual pension fund beneficiaries.
