  • Providing children with a safer social networking experience is an important objective for operators of social networking sites. The following guidelines reflect best practices for providing a safe networking experience for minors on your site. These guidelines are not explicitly mandated by law. Rather, they incorporate provisions that have been approved by 49 state Attorneys General in recent landmark agreements with MySpace, Inc. and Facebook, Inc. and are likely to be viewed as best practices going forward.
