Helen S. Atter, J.D., has achieved the highest rating in legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell, is a graduate of Florida State University (B.A., cum laude, English Literature 1976) and the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Fl (J.D. 1980). She is a member of the Florida Bar and Federal Bar-Middle District of Florida. Ms. Atter joined the firm of Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A. in 2010. Ms. Atter is the managing partner of the Ponte Vedra Beach Office, which serves clients in the areas of business formation and transactions, corporate matters, tax, estate planning and probate, sports and entertainment law, intellectual property, franchising, licensing, consumer matters, bankruptcy, foreclosure defense and civil and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Atter had 22 years experience with the PGA TOUR. With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Atter has represented and been engaged in a variety of businesses. After four years in private practice, she was Counsel and President of First American Title Insurance Company of Jacksonville, where she was responsible for the business and legal needs of offices in Jacksonville, Orange Park and Palm Coast, Florida. At the PGA TOUR, she served as Associate General Counsel; Vice President of Human Resources and Vice President of Corporate Compliance. For 12 years, although still with PGA TOUR, she was general counsel and Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for the World Golf Foundation, which includes the World Golf Hall of Fame, The First Tee, and GOLF 20/20. In these capacities, Ms. Atter handled the day-to-day and long-term business and legal needs of these sports organizations.
