Jennifer Shoaf Richardson is an Associate in the Jacksonville, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Richardson represents large and small employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counsel, and all stages of litigation in Florida and Georgia.

Ms. Richardson is an experienced litigator, who routinely represents employers before state and federal agencies, state and federal trial courts, and courts of appeal. She works with clients in a range of industries encompassing healthcare, transportation, hospitality, financial, technology, agriculture, and construction. Ms. Richardson is equipped to see cases through to completion, as she has handled dozens of appeals in Florida state courts, the 11th Circuit, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. She is also an active member of the firm’s Privacy, Data and Cybersecurity Group where she assists employers in navigating emerging issues related to privacy for their customers, employees, and vendors.

Ms. Richardson is a leader in Florida and Jacksonville, serving as President of the statewide Florida Association for Women Lawyers and past President of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association. She frequently speaks on issues related to gender equality, pay equity, parental leave, sexual harassment, and the promotion and retention of women leaders. She is available to advise clients and provide training on meaningful diversity initiatives within their businesses.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Richardson served as a law clerk for judges Peter D. Webster and Simone Marstiller, formerly of Florida’s First District Court of Appeal. She grew up in Pensacola, Florida and Milan, Tennessee, where her family owned and operated small businesses. With this background, she enjoys helping businesses and non-profits of all sizes thrive and believes this begins with the employer-employee relationship.
