  • As many of our readers are aware, in Wallace v. United Grain Growers Ltd. ("Wallace") the Supreme Court of Canada introduced the employer obligation of good faith and fair dealing in the manner of dismissal thereby adding a new level of protection for employees. Where bad faith conduct in the manner of dismissal is found, compensation is made by lengthening the reasonable notice period ("Wallace Damages").
