  • A recent decision in the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court has impacted an employer's choice of representation at unemployment compensation proceedings. Employers must now be represented by an attorney at these proceedings unless that employer is a sole proprietorship or partnership. Prior to this decision, it had been standard practice to allow both claimants and employers to be represented by non-lawyers.
