Liza Catherine Moore

Liza Catherine Moore: Attorney with Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith, P.C.

Liza Moore represents clients in litigation, and also helps clients with employee benefits issues. Liza’s civil litigation practice involves team representation of cities, villages, townships, schools, businesses, insurance companies, agribusinesses, farms and individuals in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level.

Liza has helped with matters ranging from civil rights cases to land use disputes to employment issues. She has written successful dispositive motions in state and federal courts and has been actively involved in the writing as well as filing of multiple briefs with the United States Supreme Court.

Liza helps Foster Swift’s employee benefits team advise clients on the complicated regulations that govern employee benefit plans. She researches and analyzes ERISA compliance matters.

Liza also has life-long involvement in agriculture, which continues in her law practice. In summer 2012, Liza worked with other attorneys to create the Agricultural Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Liza was elected the section’s first chairperson in 2013. Liza was the 2015 president of the Board of Directors of the Michigan FFA Foundation. She grew up working on her parents’ farm in Indiana, and served as an Indiana FFA State Officer full-time for a year before going to college.
