Biography

Lance Shurtleff is a versatile trial lawyer handling complex State and Federal court cases and handling claims before a variety of regulatory boards. He serves on the Firm’s Board of Directors and heads up the Wyoming office. Lance routinely litigates catastrophic injury cases and large loss property damage cases, focusing on trucking accidents, oil and gas industry accidents, and other casualty in Wyoming, Colorado, and North Dakota. Lance also advises these companies on the rapidly evolving regulations impacting their industries, handling OSHA, MSHA, and EEOC claims.

He advises product designers and manufacturers on issues related to recurrent claims arising from design and manufacturing problems and routinely defends against claims and lawsuits brought against companies involved in these industries.

Before joining Hall & Evans, Lance was an associate in a regional civil defense firm located in Denver, focusing on trucking and insurance defense.
