On Tuesday afternoon, a fiery car crash fatally injured a motorist on Route 80 in Rockaway Township, New Jersey. The fiery car crash occurred when a motorist who was adjusting a bicycle on his car was fatally struck by another car which swerved off the highway, and then hit the car that was parked on the shoulder as well as the guardrail. Both cars caught on fire although the occupants of the car that struck the parked car were rescued before their car became engulfed by flames.
When a car hits another vehicle, occupants of both vehicles may be at-risk for personal injuries as well as potential fatalities. The injuries could result from the impact of the crash or through other means like if one or both cars catch on fire. Car occupants who park on the shoulder of a busy highway and then exit the vehicle may also be at-risk for incurring injuries.
