Exercise machines manufactured by Core Health and Fitness have been recalled for impact hazard issues. The product recall involves five different styles of the Inspiration Cable Cross Over and Dual Adjustable Pulley machines found in fitness centers and gyms. The height adjusting carriage assembly can loosen and fall on the individual using the machine. Nearly 50 reports of carriages loosening, and over 30 reported personal injuries have been discovered. It is recommended that consumers stop using the machines and contact the company for a free onsite repair.
When consumers use a product meant to improve their health, it is assumed that the product will not actually harm consumers. Sometimes, though, due to defective parts or a poorly constructed product, a faulty product may put individuals at-risk for personal injuries or, in extreme cases, fatalities. Companies bear a financial responsibility to provide consumers with safe products that benefit their health and not damage it.
