Right before noon, on Monday morning, a head-on car crash occurred on Route 70, which fatally injured a woman. The 81-year-old driver from Whiting, New Jersey was driving in the eastbound lanes of the highway in Manchester Township, New Jersey when she drifted toward the center line into the westbound lanes, and slammed head-on into a minivan. A 49-year-old man from Brick, New Jersey was driving the minivan that was hit during the head-on car crash, and sustained serious injuries to his chest and shoulder. Both parties were brought to the Community Medical Center for treatment where the woman succumbed to her fatal injuries.
