  • December 14, 2017
  • A tanker truck collision caused a man to lose his life on Wednesday morning around 7:50 am. In Mendham, New Jersey, on Route 24, a 28-year-old man from Bergenfield, New Jersey crashed his van into the side of a tanker truck, which led to a fatality for the van driver. The van, which became pinned underneath the truck, was crushed and trapped the man in his vehicle. He succumbed to his fatal injuries at the site of the tanker truck collision. The driver of the other vehicle escaped the accident unscathed, and the contents of the truck remained intact.

If a vehicle engages in an accident with a large truck or tractor trailer, the results could be catastrophic. When the truck involved in the crash contains potentially hazardous chemicals, there is a chance that the contents could spill on the road, creating dangerous conditions for other motorists. Drivers and their passengers could incur a range of personal injuries or even fatalities in an accident like this.
