Early on Friday morning, a fiery multi-car crash involved up to seven vehicles in between Woodbridge, New Jersey and Edison, New Jersey. The fatal car accident occurred around 6:15 am near the Interstate 287 exit for the New Jersey Turnpike, and left two victims fatally injured. Five other individuals sustained serious injuries in the multi-car crash, which caused significant fire damage to about four vehicles.
During busy morning commutes, multi-car crashes are more likely to occur due to the volume of vehicles traveling on the road. Motorists and their passengers may incur a range of personal injuries and be at-risk for fatalities if they are involved in a chain reaction accident. Factors like distracted driving, drowsy driving, and speeding may result in a collision that puts car occupants in danger of developing injuries.
