A wrong-way crash occurred in Rutherford, New Jersey on Monday night, seriously injuring both drivers. The head-on collision took place around 10:30 pm when a 43-year-old woman from Lyndhurst, New Jersey drifted from the northbound lanes of Route 17 into the southern bound lanes. A 65-year-old man sustained critical injuries in the wrong-way crash while the woman, who has been charged with reckless driving and drug possession, sustained serious injuries. Both drivers needed to be extricated from their vehicles during the accident.
