As an update to the travel restrictions for U.S. citizens, the Ministry of Labor has resumed adjudicating and approving work permits and work permit renewals for U.S. citizens.

Work Visa issuance still restricted. Note however, that foreign nationals whose Work Visas were approved based on a work permit still cannot pick up their Work Visa at a Turkish consular post in the United States.

What this means for U.S. citizens awaiting Work Visas. U.S. citizens who are awaiting a Work Visa based on an approved work permit who urgently need to enter Turkey under a Work Visa can re-file their Work Visa application at a non-U.S. consulate, if they are a permanent resident or dual national of that country or if the post has waived the residency requirement.
