    While a small portion of these businesses steal money from their employees by accident, the vast majority of them are 100% aware that they are literally taking money out of the pockets of employees that keep these businesses going. There are a myriad of state and federal laws that do protect employees from Wage Theft. However, the problem is so rampant, it's impossible for regulators to monitor every business. More importantly, employers know that they can get away with it and rely on the fact that they think employees have no rights...or at least that's what some employers believe.
