A man was fatally injured on June 9 when his car collided with the car of tennis star Venus Williams in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Reports claim that Venus Williams ran a red light and struck another car, which was occupied by the 78-year-old man and his wife who was driving the vehicle. Both the wife of the victim and Ms. Williams sustained no personal injuries in the crash, but, two weeks after the car accident, the man succumbed to his fatal injuries. Her lawyer stated that Ms. Williams, who will be playing in Wimbledon on Monday, was not cited or charged for the traffic violation.
Many car accidents occur due to several differing factors including distracted driving, speeding, or negligence. When a car accident takes place, the injuries could range from minor to catastrophic and even cause fatalities. Survivors of a car accident may experience a loss of income, debilitating injuries, and mental trauma.
