The employer accepted the claimant’s injuries by Notice of Compensation Payable. The claimant also received his full salary pursuant to the Heart and Lung Act. After the claimant’s Heart and Lung benefits ended, he began receiving workers’ compensation benefits. Eventually, the claimant took a disability retirement from his position.
