  • November 7, 2017
  • After a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Berks County, Pennsylvania, a truck driver sustained fatal injuries. On Monday night, before 6 pm, a chain reaction crash took place in Cumru Township, Pennsylvania, which caused one fatality and personal injuries for four other victims. Three vehicles and a tractor-trailer were involved in the crash, which began when a sedan rear-ended a pickup truck. Then the truck driver lost control, and was struck by an SUV, which then hit a tractor-trailer. Other victims in the accident sustained minor injuries. Authorities suspect that speed may have caused the multi-vehicle accident.

A chain reaction crash may start after one car accident occurs on a congested road, causing other drivers to become distracted and engaged in other collisions. An accident like this may create mayhem on the road, and could prompt catastrophic injuries or even fatalities. Victims who survive multi-vehicle accidents could face mental and physical trauma for the rest of their lives.
