More than 100 people were injured when a train partially came off its track and wrecked during morning rush hour Jan. 4, 2017 at the Atlantic Terminal Station in Brooklyn, New York, according to news reports.
Roughly 700 people were believed to be on board when the train barreled into a room at the end of the Long Island Rail Road track. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the collision, though at least one woman may have suffered a broken leg, authorities said shortly after the incident.
Details about the train’s speed were not immediately available and the wreck’s cause is not yet known.
