After law school, Mr. Mata was admitted to the California State Bar in 2010 and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in 2011. He started out practicing for a personal injury and injured worker’s law firm in Los Angeles, California, where he was able to complete two jury trials. In 2012, he transitioned to a respected workers’ compensation defense firm also in Los Angeles. Over the next six-and-a-half years, Robert learned all the necessary nuances in California workers’ compensation matters to become a knowledgeable and experienced veteran. He has taken countless depositions, made hundreds of appearances at Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards throughout California, submitted matters to trial with confidence and filed petitions for reconsideration or removal as needed. When Robert arrived at ATB in 2018, he had all the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be a strong and forceful advocate for his clients.
Outside of work, Robert is happily married and the father of a young baby girl. He also is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
