Wayne Arnold is a highly-respected employment and business litigator representing clients ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to small and mid-market companies. With a highly-personal approach to client relationship management and nearly four decades of focused experience, Mr. Arnold has earned his reputation as a “lawyer’s lawyer.” In-house general counsel of major corporations frequently rely on him to resolve employment matters, real property cases and other complex business litigation. They appreciate his efficient and thorough approach to problem-solving through alternative dispute resolution, while being fully-prepared to go to trial.

In representing employers, Mr. Arnold pursues the cost-effective resolution of claims including wrongful discharge, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour and sexual harassment. Among his recent employment matters, he defended a Fortune 100 company against multiple claims of disability discrimination, using aggressive litigation tactics to obtain favorable settlements; settled wage and hour claims for alleged overtime and failure to give meal/rest breaks on behalf of a restaurant; and, successfully defended a national retailer against an employee’s allegations of failure to accommodate an alleged disability.

As a result of his deep experience defending employers in employment litigation matters, Mr. Arnold also counsels clients on employment contracts, employment manuals and policies.

With respect to Real Estate litigation, Mr. Arnold efficiently resolves disputes involving contracts, construction, commercial leases and financing as well as Americans with Disability Act (ADA) claims. In a complex matter involving a failed real estate development, he represented a national retailer in defeating an action by a real estate developer to execute upon a $5 million injunction bond issued by his client, and subsequently obtained over $300,000 in cost reimbursements from the retailer. In other recent matters, he negotiated a settlement in clients’ favor on behalf of multiple landlords against multiple tenants over ADA claims, and favorably settled a city’s claims of code violations on behalf of a retailer client.
