Google introduces another way for law firms to engage prospective clients. Google recently launched the ability for consumers to send texts directly from a law firm’s Google My Business listing. This allows prospective clients to initiate text conversations directly from their mobile search results. More than 60% of searches now take place on mobile devices, which means that a sizable percentage of consumers researching your firm are likely to find you on their phone or tablet.
Law firms can activate this new feature from their Google My Business dashboard.
Step 1: Log into your Google My Business Page and click “Enable messaging now”
Step 2: Verify and confirm that your phone number can receive SMS messages
Step 3: Enter the confirmation code
When it’s turned on, prospects will see a text message icon when they search for your firm on their phones.
