Biography

Christina M. Rosas, Counsel in the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group and Real Estate practice group, advises clients on all aspects of estate and elder law planning, and represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions, and purchasers and sellers in the acquisition, sale and financing of commercial and residential properties. Ms. Rosas also frequently represents debtors in negotiating debt workouts with commercial and private lenders.

Ms. Rosas is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, in which she served as Co-Chair of the Newsletter Committee (2006-2008). Ms. Rosas is also a member of the Board of Directors of Nassau/Suffolk Law Services, a non-profit community based poverty law program that provides legal assistance in civil (non-criminal) matters to low income, disabled, and disadvantaged persons throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. As a volunteer attorney with the Suffolk County Pro Bono Project, she has represented clients with various legal issues. Additionally, Ms. Rosas serves as a member of the Alumni Advisory Board for the School of Social Sciences and Human Services at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and as a member of the Career Services Alumni Committee for the Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University.

Ms. Rosas is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey (B.S.W., Magna Cum Laude, 1999) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D., Summa Cum Laude, 2003), where she was Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review, a recipient of the Eugene M. Wypyski Memorial Distinguished Academic Scholarship, and a recipient of Course Excellence Awards in Torts and Constitutional Law. Ms. Rosas is the author of “Mandatory Pro Bono Publico For Law Students: The Right Place to Start”, which was published in the Hofstra Law Review, Vol. 30:3. Upon graduating, Ms. Rosas was presented with the Outstanding Law Student Award by the law school’s faculty.
