Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Savino was associated with the New York City law firm of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP, where he was responsible for e-discovery matters in complex financial products, commercial, employment and insurance litigation. Notably, Mr. Savino represented FHFA and MBIA in favorable litigation settlements against numerous financial institutions that misrepresented residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) they issued.
Mr. Savino is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He is a graduate of Boston College (B.A., 2006) and Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2011), where he was a member of the Journal of Corporate & Financial Law, Sports Law Forum and a student mediator at Manhattan Small Claims Court.
Mr. Savino was a recipient of the 2012 Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Publico Award in recognition of his outstanding service, dedication and commitment to The Legal Aid Society and its clients. Mr. Savino represented victims of a fraudulent mortgage scam who have no prospect of home ownership upon satisfaction of their mortgage due to a concealed prior unsatisfied mortgage.
