Biography

Since 1986, Joe has represented clients in personal injury cases involving auto negligence, slip and fall accidents, premises liability, and professional liability cases. He has successfully tried over 35 cases to verdict. Before joining Gelman Gelman Wiskow & McCarthy, Joe was the Managing Trial Attorney for a major commercial insurance carrier where he supervised nine other attorneys. His 30 years of litigation experience assists clients when he represents victims against insurance carriers.

Joe grew up in Roselle, in Union County, and moved to Jefferson Township, in Morris County, 20 years ago. He and his wife, Janice, have three adult children. Since their children moved out, they now share their home with a dog and two cats. Joe’s interests include music, travel, biking, reading and writing. Joe and Janice have ridden Rails to Trails bike paths in 8 states and Canada in the past 18 months. Joe has also taken recent trips to Panama, India, Viet Nam, Japan and Australia.
