Michael R. Flicker

Michael R. Flicker: Attorney with Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada LLP

Michael R. Flicker, a founder of Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada, concentrates his area of practice in complex family law cases. Mr. Flicker has been a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California since 1980. Mr. Flicker is a knowledgeable and accomplished negotiator and litigator, enabling him to creatively adapt his expertise to meet the often sensitive needs of his clients, while still protecting their vital interests. His goal is to achieve a settlement that accomplished his client's objectives after being informed about the applicable law and facts. If such a settlement cannot be achieved, we are prepared to effectively litigate the unresolved issues. The vast majority of cases, however, do settle and those that at first appear to be headed for a trial usually still settle once both sides understand the law and the facts.

Mr. Flicker draws on decades of specialized experience to provide his clients with a strategic advantage at every juncture. His years of successful practice are invaluable in understanding the nuances, risks and opportunities in every case which often lead to imaginative settlement and trial strategies. Mr. Flicker practices primarily in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, as well as other Bay Area Counties when special circumstances justify his experience and expertise in complex cases. Mr. Flicker has been appointed as a Judge Pro Tem in both Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

Mr. Flicker's practice includes: child custody disputes, complex financial matters, complex properties, businesses, partnerships, and similar entities, stock options, various forms of deferred compensation, real estate and other matters that are typical in Silicon Valley.

Prior to establishing Flicker, Kerin, Kruger & Bissada, Mr. Flicker joined William T. Keogh and Gerald Z. Marer in the early 1970's to form Keogh, Marer & Flicker (a general practice firm with extensive experience in family law). Years of working with a general practice firm is a valuable asset in providing clients with broad and comprehensive protection and advocacy of their interests.
