Ms. Machado earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in English from the University of Miami. During her undergraduate career, Ms. Machado participated as a student-researcher at the University of Miami’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) studying the effects of early intervention therapy in children with Autism.
Ms. Machado earned her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she made the Dean’s List. While attending law school, Ms. Machado was the research assistant to a professor with an accomplished background in health law. Throughout her second and third year, she clerked at a civil defense law firm working primarily on medical malpractice cases. Ms. Machado was a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and a founding member of the Association for Public Health Law Students. She also completed courses in El Escorial, Spain.
