David DeFazio grew up in Richmond, Virginia and went to high school, college, and law school locally in Virginia. Before law school, he served in the Army, which he credits with teaching him the relationship between organization and careful preparation with success and the skills to succeed under pressure. These are skills he still finds continually helpful to this day, incorporating into his practice strategies. Attorney DeFazio has been practicing for more than 20 years and has had significant success in divorce and family law cases. He has been a member of the State Bar of Virginia since 1998, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia since 1999, the U.S. District Court Western District of Virginia since 1999, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Eastern District of Virginia since 2001, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit since 1998.
