Jeff was raised in Lewistown, Montana where he graduated from Fergus High School in 1999. Jeff’s love of nature and adventure seeking lead him to Hawaii, where he graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, located in Honolulu, HI in 2004, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduation Jeff spent two years working as a Manager of a five star hotel in Honolulu. In 2006 Jeff returned home to attend law school at the University of Montana, School of Law, where he graduated in 2009.

Jeff entered the practice of law in 2009. His areas of practice include general litigation, employment law, and workers’ compensation. Jeff is admitted to practice in all Montana Courts and the United States District Courts for the District of Montana.

Jeff's blog post titled Social Media in the Workplace: Do Employers 'Like' What Their Employees are Doing Online? was a 2013 top ten most read and shared posts on the ALPS 411 blog.

Jeff and his wife are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy all the great recreational activities Montana has to offer, especially boating, snowboarding, and hiking with their dog Kingston.
