Biography

Greg represents numerous individuals in handling probate estate administrations and serves as the General Conservator for Mobile County, Alabama, where he handles the affairs of approximately 250 minors, disabled veterans, senior citizens, and mentally and physically incapacitated persons.

Why did you become an attorney?

After I graduated from college, I almost went into my family’s Ace Hardware business. My father ultimately encouraged me to attend law school and not go into the retail business. He said that the big box stores were making the “mom and pop” stores antiquated. It turned out to be good advice. The fact that I was a summer bailiff for a state district court judge during college and that I clerked for a state circuit court judge after law school also influenced my decision to practice law.

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is helping people in need. In my job as general conservator for Mobile County, I handle the financial affairs of over 200 senior citizens, disabled veterans, minors, and other incapacitated persons. In many cases, I’m their last resort, especially for senior citizens who have no friends or family to handle their affair,s such as preparing nursing home Medicaid applications on their behalf.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to play golf, spectate sporting events, and spend time at our home on Dauphin Island in my spare time. I also enjoy dining out, anywhere from nice restaurants to “hole in the wall” restaurants.
