John currently manages the Mobile, Alabama office which serves the firm's clients in this key and emerging Gulf Coast port city. At Galloway Johnson, John has developed a diverse civil litigation practice that includes significant experience with general maritime law, Jones Act, LHWCA, construction law, insurance coverage and defense, title resolution, mortgage litigation, and workers compensation. With an extensive knowledge of both the law and its practical application, John has worked with clients to resolve complex disputes through mediation or trial.
With an extensive construction background including an undergraduate degree in Building Science/Construction Management from Auburn University, John worked as an Assistant Project Manager for a large general construction company prior to law school. He gained wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of the commercial construction and industrial industries, and has utilized this knowledge to serve contractors and ship builders by providing general counsel and as well as drafting and negotiating contracts. He is admitted to practice in Alabama, Florida, and all United States District Courts of Alabama.
Outside of the office, John's top priorities are spending time with his wife and two daughters, and serving the local community through participation in Church activities and civic organizations.
