Chris Lenzo is a partner in the New Jersey law firm of Lenzo & Reis, LLC. He represents employees in employment law matters, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, trial litigation, and appellate litigation of claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wrongful discharge, failure to accommodate disabilities, family and medical leave violations, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations.
In his practice, Mr. Lenzo has litigated several reported cases, some of which involved landmark decisions. He and his colleague Claudia Reis won a $1.549 million jury verdict in a retaliation case against New Jersey Transit after a month-long trial during 2009.
Since 2014, Mr. Lenzo has been among the Top 100 New Jersey Super Lawyers receiving the most votes from other members of the bar. He has been included in the Thomson Reuters list of New Jersey Super Lawyers in the areas of labor and employment law and plaintiffs’ employment litigation since 2005.*
For 2013 and 2016, Best Lawyers in America designated Mr. Lenzo as Lawyer of the Year in the field of Employment Law-Individuals for the Newark Metropolitan Area based on votes cast by Mr. Lenzo’s peers in the labor and employment law bar. Mr. Lenzo has been included in the list of Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of labor and employment law since 2006.*
In March 2013, Mr. Lenzo was Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. That distinction is attained based on references by judges and other attorneys, and through passing a written examination.
Mr. Lenzo served on the Employment Law Subcommittee of the New Jersey Supreme Court Model Civil Jury Charge Committee for twelve years. He serves as a Master for the Sidney Reitman Employment Law American Inn of Court
