Andrew Tran is a Northern California native who decided to pursue his higher education in Southern California. For his undergraduate studies, Andrew attended the University of California, Irvine. While initially pursing a Biology degree, Andrew found his passion for law after taking an Introduction to Criminology, Law, and Society class. He decided to switch to a Criminology, Law, and Society major and never looked back. During his time at UC Irvine, Andrew worked as a research assistant for two very prominent professors one in sociology of law and one in white-collar and corporate crime.
After graduating from UC Irvine and obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law, and Society, Andrew worked as a law clerk for a Bankruptcy and Taxation law office in Northern California where he gained extensive experience in those fields.
For law school, Andrew attended Whittier Law School located in Costa Mesa, California where he was the runner-up in the highly competitive Susan E. McGuigan Oral Advocacy Competition for first-year law students and became heavily involved in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Andrew received one of the highest grades in his Family Law and Community Property law classes. During his time at Whittier Law School, Andrew interned for a family law practice located in Santa Ana, California where he gained hands-on experience in family law.
After obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School, Andrew volunteered for the Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinic in the Chula Vista Superior Court in San Diego while studying for the California State Bar exam. Andrew gained extensive knowledge of Domestic Violence Restraining Orders as he provided assistance to individuals with domestic violence disputes.
Prior to joining Holstrom, Block, & Parke APLC as an associate attorney, Andrew worked for a prominent family law firm where he practiced family law in all 3 of its offices located in San Diego, Temecula, and Irvine. Andrew handled cases in San Diego County, Riverside County, and Orange County. Andrew’s experience handling cases in all 3 counties makes him a versatile attorney with knowledge of local rules and procedures from all those counties. Andrew has experience with all areas of family law, including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, custody and visitation, grandparent visitation, move-away requests, child and spousal support, support arrears, pre-nuptial agreements, domestic violence restraining orders, and post-judgment modifications.Andrew is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and Orange County Asian American Bar Association. In his free time, Andrew loves to go to the gym, loves the outdoors, watches movies, and spends time with his fiancé and friends.
