Ben Castoriano works primarily within the firm's Commercial Litigation, Mass Tort & Class Action, and Labor & Employment Practice Groups. He is also a co-founder of the firm's Frilot Forward program, which provides customized legal services to startup companies and early-stage businesses.

In the mass tort and class action context, Mr. Castoriano handles claims for exposure to asbestos-containing products and other toxic tort issues, representing premise owners, insurers, manufacturers and distributors. Mr. Castoriano has handled these cases in both state and federal courts in cases involving both malignant and non-malignant asbestos-related diseases, mesothelioma and other occupational diseases.

In his commercial practice, Mr. Castoriano has extensive experience handling contractual, proprietary and other commercial disputes. Some of his notable cases/results include:

- Representing ION Geophysical Corporation and its corporate predecessors against a battery manufacturer in a dispute that was ultimately tried by the Frilot team to a jury verdict in excess of $20 million for ION.
- Successfully prosecuting the claim of a local property owner against CHS, Inc., a Fortune 100 agricultural conglomerate that has regularly reported revenues in excess of $40 billion. After a bench trial before Judge Helen G. Berrigan in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Judge Berrigan issued a judgment in favor of Frilot's client. Frilot's client's rights were valued in the tens of millions of dollars.
- Successfully defending waste disposal giant Waste Management in a politically-charged contract dispute with Jefferson Parish, which involved claims of over $80 million in penalties, made amid charges of corruption.

In his labor and employment practice, Mr. Castoriano has represented employers facing charges filed with the EEOC and defended them in litigation against claims made under the ADA, FMLA, and Title VII. He has also performed large-scale reviews of his client's employment policies and practices. Mr. Castoriano particularly enjoys conducting training sessions on topics such as the ADA.

Mr. Castoriano received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School. While at Tulane, Mr. Castoriano earned a Certificate in International Business from the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Institute in London, England. He also worked as an extern for United States District Judge Sarah S. Vance in the Eastern District of Louisiana. He was selected by Super Lawyers, the nation's premier publication for the recognition of top lawyers, in its Louisiana Rising Stars lists in 2014-2019, a distinction for which no more than 2.5% of eligible attorneys are selected, and was selected by The American Society of Legal Advocates for its Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 in Louisiana in 2014-2018.

Mr. Castoriano was born in Paris, France, and raised in London, England. He is a native French speaker. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lycee Francais de la Nouvelle Orleans, a French immersion public charter school, since 2013.
