Biography

James I. Serota concentrates his practice on antitrust and business litigation. Jamie has prosecuted treble damage antitrust claims and defended civil and criminal antitrust litigation and investigations in a wide variety of industries, particularly regulated industries. He is currently defending a pharmaceutical company in federal and state civil and criminal antitrust investigations and litigation, a waste disposal company in a state antitrust investigation, and an ocean carrier in an antitrust class action. He has just completed the defense one of China's largest pharmaceutical companies, a state-owned enterprise, in a series of multidistrict class actions in the United States alleging price-fixing of Vitamin C. He has also just completed the defense of a leading title insurer in 78 class actions in 12 states alleging price-fixing, all resulting in defendants' judgments.
