Jamie Lang joined the firm in February 2013. She represents and counsels employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including matters related to collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration proceedings, discrimination complaints and wage and hour disputes. She defends employers before state and federal courts, and various administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, and the New York State Department of Labor. She also drafts various employment-related agreements, employment policies and handbooks. Ms. Lang is well versed in the New York State Human Rights Law, the New York City Human Rights Law, the New York City Earned Sick Time Act and New York City's Fair Chance Act.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lang served as a Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of North Hempstead for four years, where she handled various labor and employment related matters. She advised management on disciplinary matters relating to Union and non-Union employees, drafted disciplinary charges and negotiated settlement agreements. She also served on management's bargaining committee which negotiated two collective bargaining agreements with a Union representing over 300 employees. Ms. Lang investigated and resolved Union grievances, handled matters before the Public Employment Relations Board, participated in arbitrations, and investigated discrimination, harassment and workplace violence complaints.
