Rony Guldmann, Ph.D. was an academic philosopher before beginning the practice of law. He has published a book on human nature and taught a wide range of philosophy courses at Indiana University, Hofstra University, Iona College, and Fordham University. Mr. Guldmann was also the James C. Gaither Fellow at Stanford Law School, where he researched the philosophical dimensions of the First Amendment and other areas of constitutional law. He was a summer associate at Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office, where he concentrated on employment litigation. Having been born in France and lived in Israel, Mr. Guldmann is fluent in French and Hebrew. He has also studied legal Hebrew and passed all nine Israeli equivalency exams for foreign-trained lawyers.

Mr. Guldmann is now bringing his analytical training and research experience to bear on a variety of complex legal challenges. He has helped clients navigate the increasingly intricate web of virtual currency regulation, devising strategies that will spare them unnecessary regulatory burdens. In the litigation sphere, Mr. Guldmann has designed innovative legal theories that can advance clients’ interests even when the deck is stacked against them. Whether on offense or on defense, Mr. Guldmann will wrestle with the law relentlessly until it yields to a client’s needs.

Mr. Guldmann has contributed to Virtual Currencies Hit the World Stage: Bitcoin’s Ever-Evolving Legal Status, in yBitcoin magazine, and to Are Employee “No-Hire” and Non-Solicitation Provisions Enforceable Under California Law?, in Morrison & Foerster’s Employment Law Commentary. He has also published in philosophy, authoring Determination and Forbearance (Social Theory and Practice, January 2006) and Two Orientations Toward Human Nature (Ashgate, 2007).
