Mr. Sagar Chadha

Mr. Sagar Chadha: Attorney with The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C.

The most satisfying aspect of working as a Weitz & Luxenberg attorney is the opportunity it gives me to fight for working-class Americans and help them in their struggles with asbestos-related illnesses. The wrongs done by asbestos defendants can never be fully righted, but finding ways to hold those corporations accountable can at the very least provide solace to the victims of asbestos exposures, and to their families.

Weitz & Luxenberg attorneys see clients as more than plaintiffs with legal problems to be solved, but as people who are deeply hurting because of the wrongful acts of others. That is precisely how Sagar Chadha views the injured individuals with whom he works in his capacity as a mesothelioma lawyer.

Mr. Chadha joined W&L in 2015 after more than four years as an assistant district attorney for Queens County, New York. During his time in the district attorney's office, he was assigned to several bureaus where he performed an array of increasingly vital prosecutorial duties. In his final posting, he served as lead prosecutor on more than 60 major felony cases, some of which involved the crimes of attempted murder, robbery, assault and fraud.

Mr. Chadha received a juris doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2010. While enrolled there he worked as an intern, first in the office of the inspector general for the Department of Finance in the New York City Department of Investigation and, later, in the office of the district attorney for Kings County, New York.

In 2007, he earned a bachelor of arts degree with honors in medieval and early modern studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Mr. Chadha fluently speaks Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.
