Kristina has lived in many locations as a child and adult. She has attended grammar schools in Washington, DC and Upstate New York and she graduated from high school in Indiana. After starting her college career at Purdue University in Indiana, Kristina really began her adult life by getting married, having children, living in Germany, Missouri, Indiana and Texas and completing her undergraduate degree after a period of being a 'stay at home' mom.
Kristina moved with her family to Southern California where she worked as a computer programmer and internal computer systems consultant for an insurance company for over 20 years. While working in the Information Technology field, Kristina completed her MBA from the University of California, Irvine and received her legal education from Western State University College of Law. After being admitted to the California bar, Kristina assisted in legal clinics, assisted other attorneys on a contract basis and handled limited pro-bono cases while continuing her 'day job'.
Kristina's husband encouraged her to retire from the insurance company and they spent the next 2 years travelling in their motorhome between their anchor locations in Virginia and Southern California and enjoying being retired and visiting with their grandchildren. Kristina missed the daily intellectual challenges of her work life so she sat for the Virginia Bar Exam and subsequently opened the office of Kristina Beavers, Attorney at Law where she utilizes her life experiences as well as her legal knowledge in working with her clients.
Kristina is currently licensed to practice law in all state courts in the State of California and the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Kristina Beavers is a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors (CSA) and a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
In addition to handling the legal needs of her personal clients, Kristina serves as a Guardian Ad Litem and Court Appointed criminal defense attorney for juveniles.
