Joshua graduated from Poca High School in Putnam County, West Virginia. He then went on to graduate from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics in May 2002. Joshua received his law degree from the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, VA. He graduated in the top 30% of his class, was named to the Dean’s List, and was a member of the Democratic Law Society. After graduating in 2008, Martin returned to West Virginia. to begin his law career.
Joshua began his law career with the West Virginia Attorney General's Office where he worked for the Consumer Protection, Civil Rights and Worker’s Compensation offices. Joshua has worked with some of the most prestigious lawyers in the Kanawha Valley in the fields of medical malpractice, auto accidents, personal injury, criminal law, and worker’s compensation. Joshua has years of trial experience with car accident and collision claims, workplace injuries and other personal injuries.Martin resides in Poca with his wife, and their son. He is an avid supporter of Marshall University athletics, and enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
