  • Employers subject to OSHA recordkeeping requirements must post their annual Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses (OSHA Form 300A) no later than February 1, based on data recorded during 2010.

    Upon completion of the Summary and prior to posting, an owner or officer, the top official at the establishment, or his or her immediate supervisor must certify on the Summary that he or she has examined last year's OSHA Form 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, and that to the best of his or her knowledge the Summary is true, accurate and complete. The certification should be based on the executive's knowledge of the process by which the information was obtained and recorded on the Log. To ensure the accuracy of the Form 300A, the Log itself should be reviewed for completeness and accuracy.

    The annual Summary must be posted in a conspicuous place where notices to employees customarily are posted.  OSHA requires employers to continue to post the Summary through April 30.
