Pamela Sisson is an attorney and mediator with an office in Okemos, Michigan. She has a degree in Classical Studies from Indiana University, with minors in science and education. Prior to law school, she worked for the IRS, primarily as a tax auditor. Her law degree is from Wayne State University. During law school, she was on the planning committee for the National Conference on Women and the Law held in Detroit in 1982. She has practiced law for 37 years, 5 years for Legal Services (poverty law) in Detroit and Flint, 3 years doing disability advocacy and 29 years in private practice in the Greater Lansing area. Her practice is focused on Estate Planning, Probate of Estates, Trust Administration, Probate Litigation, Guardianships and Conservatorships, Real Estate and Family Law. She has substantial experience working with nontraditional families. She has also completed the intensive training in divorce mediation. She has been awarded a Probate and Estate Planning Certificate by the State Bar of Michigan (like a graduate degree). She enjoys wilderness activities, biking, reading and spending time with her family. She is also an accomplished musician and songwriter.
